Top 10 Things to do on National Scrapbook Day

1. Attend a crop or scrapbooking party! Of course, this would be #1 on the list! There is nothing better, and more motivating, than to scrap with friends! If you didn't plan yet call a friend and attend the best crop party in town at Scrapbook Source. Be spontaneous! 2. Go shopping! No scrapper can resist buying some new goodies! What better place than Scrapbook Source. We have the latest scrapbook supplies available to you! Come check out our selection. 3. Scrap with your friends! We all can scrap by ourselves, but on this weekend you should get together with friends and/or family and scrapbook your memories together. 4. Learn a new technique! This weekend we will be having a number of make-n-takes that will teach you some new techniques. Come on out. If you can't make it this weekend, check out our class schedule for new classes that teach many new techniques every time from scrapbook layouts to stamping cards to making a complete scrapbook in a couple of hours. If you don’t see a class you would like to attend, give us a call and will can add one. 5. Challenge yourself! If you have a number of projects already started, try completing some this weekend. Give yourself some space and time to just do it. Make a goal that if you complete 1-2 projects, then you can treat yourself to something. Start small! 6. Submit your best layouts to magazines! Check out the many scrapbook magazines you may have. They are always looking for great layouts to use. All you have to do is contact them and they will let you know what to do. 7. Get organized! Is your scrapbook area getting a little cluttered? Spend some time organizing and de-cluttering it! Scrapbook Source has a great selection of items to get you origanied. While this may not sound like a fun thing to do, it is essential to have a neat scrapping space to creating wonderful layouts. 8. Scrap-lift! One of the best ways to get ideas for your own layouts is to see what other scrappers have created. Spend some time reviewing your favorite scrapping magazines or checkout your friends scrapbook for some new ideas to get inspired! 9. Try something different! Have you always wanted to use your rubber stamps in your layout? Maybe you would like to try the use of wire, jute, buttons, or ribbon? If you have always thought of using something non-scrapbooking related in your album, spend some time doing just that! 10. Teach! I think one of the best ways to spend National Scrapbooking Day is to teach a non-scrapper your favorite hobby! Think of at least one friend or family member that doesn't scrapbook, invite them to attend crop night with you (be sure to have them bring some photos), and let them use your supplies to create a few pages. Before you know it, you will have a new scrappin' partner! Scrapbook Source is always looking for teachers. If you have a class idea give us a call. Have a great weekend! Alice
